I thought I would recommend 3 of the best places I visited in Gold Coast when I lived there earlier this year. In Australia in general they have loads of great places to eat, where many or all aspects of a wonderful food experience meets my requirements. Don’t know where to go for lunch while visiting Gold Coast/Surfers? Read on!
Rent a bike or take the bus, and go to Cardamom Pod at 3/3 Brolga Ave, South beach. One of my last days in Australia, my colleagues and I went to this amazing place since one of them also worked there. The place is charmy, they have super sweet staff members and really cool and bohemian interiour. And of course the food and coffee they make.. It’s art on a plate for reaaalz AND ofcourse the taste is truly delicious. Probably the nicest place I went to in Gold Coast the time I stayed there. GO GO GO there!
I recommend Sand bar at 52 Esplanade in Surfers if you want to enjoy the ocean view and have a cool and chilled atmosphere. The place is fancy and new, but still chilled and there is no problem going alone for a coffee or two. I went there a couple of times and enjoyed the view of the beautiful ocean everytime. I have only tried their coffee and smoothiebowls – but ooooh my – SO yummi!
Govinda’s vegan resturant! Staying in the heart of Surfers? Are you a vegan or just enjoy eating plant-based food? Go to Govinda’s vegan resturant at 3120 Surfers Paradise Blvd. I used to work there and I looooved it. They only have buffet (used to be 14,90 all you can eat!!!) and the buffet is tha bomb. There are different salads – Tofu, chick pea, green leaf and potato salad (one of my favorites!)…They have AMAZING koftas, dahl, curry, bakes and other yummi things. I tried to beg for the reciepe for the raw vegan chocolate cake when I left, but with no luck. You got to try it cuz it is so amazing.
Well, time to go and try them out! Also, check out Grill’d healthy burgers at Pacific Fair (you can probably also find it other places in Gold coast), Yoghurt City at Cavill Avenue and go for an acai bowl right by the beach Espalade/Cavill avenue. They are super yummi. I think the name of the place is just juice bar..
ENJOY – a big smile and some sunny vibes from me
